Default Clomid and Ovulation

hi

does clomid potentially make you ovulate from "both" sides each month??? or is pretty much just from one side - depending on the month?

just wondering - where i only have one tube - what my chances might be.

i start my clomid today.

One side , depending on the month.... However...there is a good chance your body could respond well to the dosage and ovulate and that side as well

Goodluck to you =)

I can only speak from my experience. I had two follies on one side and one on the other. Not sure which will ovulate but I guess there is technically the chance that both would ovulate. So, maybe both?

I also only have one tube. We are also using Clomid hoping to "up" the chances. Clomid will sometimes (I don't always get more than one egg) make you have more than one but its just luck as to which ovary or if it will be both. Best of luck to you!!!

Jenn
I am cd14 today. I took Clomid 50mg cd3-7. I got my +OPK yesterday night so I guess I will O tonight or tomorrow. Hoping its tomorrow because we haven't been able to get any bding in since Friday! URG!!! I go back to the doc May 21 and will get my prog checked. We aren't using u/s right now except at the first of the month to check for cysts. My ins doesn't cover any if treatment so just praying its on the right side. I hope that your headache is getting better. Clomid can be evil!! Dh was lucky that he had to work yesterday because between the Clomid mood swings and the fact that it was Mother's Day I was in rare form!LOL! Poor man! Best of luck to you sweety!! I hope that all of your eggs are on the left side. I need mine on the right.

yay!!! positive opk!!! i REALLY hope that your eggs are on your right side

i have read that you can get negative opks with the clomid??? is that true?

and ovulate earlier than usual?

i am not too concerned with it...we started bding last night - cd 6 - and will just keep on going every other day until next week - that way i don't miss it.

hopefully they will be able to tell me something on friday - i got my day 3 fsh bloodwork back - it was 6.6.

i am a little bummed though - because i am doing the clomid challenge now - and my RE thinks that maybe i should continue with it moving forward.... BUT... i don't have an appt. with him again until june 13th... which will be after my AF... so i will be "clomid free" the month of june.

i am thinking of calling him to see if maybe he will prescribe the clomid for me next month too... i guess i will wait to see what this friday's ultrasound says.

GOOD LUCK on the 21st!!!!! did i read that they can "determine" a possible pregnancy by the prog levels???

Jenn - Thanks so much for the well wishes!!! I have never had any problem with the OPKs and clomid. I do know that sometimes it can move ovulation up but you should still be able to use the OPK. I think its a good idea about bding every other day. That way you will hopefully have sperm waiting when the egg releases. I think that I would call the RE and ask for Clomid so that you don't have to skip a month (hopefully you won't need it though and you will get your BFP this month!!!). As for the prog level it doesn't have any bearing on being pg. They just like to see high numbers in case you do get pg. Best of luck to you on Friday!!!!!!! I got the u/s done this morning. Both ovaries were swollen and it looks like I had 2 eggs on the left (figures) and 1 maybe 2 on the right (YIPEE!!). She said that either I had just ovulated or was getting ready to so now just waiting to test! URG! The waiting drives me crazy!!!!!
