CLOMID and 1 st day of cycle

Hi my dr a military Gyno, told me the first day of any blood is the first day of cycle. What do your Dr's say and RE's say. I have done 2 cycle based on spotting as 1st day, and started spotting yesterday. I will start my third round of clomid and my Dr said one more round in April and then he is sending me to a fertility spec. So I was wondering what is the consensus. I have always spotted 3-5 days prior to flow. Any help would be great! Thanks

hey there, this is probably too late for you, but my doc (and many others) say that the first day of flow is cd1. mine says that the first day you need a tampon or pad, count it as one, regardless of how long you've been spotting. i really don't know if there's a big difference between the two...i should look that up. good luck to you!! your picture is beautiful.

Well, I went to light flow on Sat. then Sun (today) back to pink and red discharge. I need a pad, so I guess Sat was CD 1.

YEs the first day of red flow is CD 1. Spotting could last a while and it may not be af so please dont start on clomid until you actually start bleeding red.

Full flow is Aunt Flow! He says it needs to be a full flow, not spotting to be day 1

Well my Dr, still says spotting any blood is cd1. But I waited and since on Sat I started red blood just light, and it is still that way today (tues) that Sat was cd 1. I think Clomid has just made my periods lighter. Thanks for all your help guys.

you're welcome. i did research on the web after i posted my reply to you. there are many sites that say the first day of flow is day one. NOT spotting. i'm glad you counted sat as day 1. if i were you, if you need to do more clomid after this month, i'd go with the flow as day 1, not spotting, regardless of what the doc says. i like to take charge of my fertility, as they say. i hope this month is lucky for you!

usmcduke- I am not for sure what your name is, but Hello! You are right clomid can make your af lighter. I also count CD1 as the first day that I need to use a tampon or pad.
