Poll: Do you let grandparents punish/spank ?

Maddy was at her grandparents house for the weekend and when i talked to MIL she said that maddy had hit her in the face so she spanked her but ( lightly ) and put her in time out for a min. Now i dont but maddy in time out yets cause i dont think she could understand whats going on so i usually firmly tell her no and redirect her to somethink else . i was just wondering how many feel that is ok to let grandparents punish your LO.
