Unsure about his swimmers
When my fiance was a baby they had to remove one of his testicles. They told his mother that he may have trouble concieving, but it was iffy. He's always questioned it because he never used any form of contraception when he was with me or his other two serious relationships. Last September we became pregnant only to lose the baby at 6wks.
Could that be the reason why I m/c? I didn't have any tests run, and now I highly regret it. My mom says that when a guy loses a testicle before puberty, his other testicle is able to "go into over drive" when he finally does hit puberty. She was a medical assistant, so I know she has some background, but she's my mom and could just be trying to make us feel better. I'm just wondering if he should go in for some tests.

Re: Unsure about his swimmers
Well, I think your mom is probably right. All your other body parts do the same thing.
My thoughts are, if you are wondering if he is ok or not, it doesn't hurt to have him tested.

Re: Unsure about his swimmers
Thanks for your thoughts. I think I'll try to get him to get a s/a. He's just nervous to know.

Re: Unsure about his swimmers
My husband had undecending testicles when he was baby. He ended up having two separte surgery, one at age 3 and one at age five to bring each of them down. Know days if they decend at six months they bring them both down, because the longer them are up there the more chance there is damage to them. Anyway the moral to my story here is that I was in your boat too and the only way to know is if you get the SA. My husband only has one testicle and his SA in 40 MIL, and the doctor says that great count!! My girlfriends husband has one and the had two beautiful children.
GOOF LUCK!!!

Re: Unsure about his swimmers
My DH had an undecending testicle when he was a baby. They did not get it pulled down until he was a toddler. We TCC for about 2.5 years when I finally stop going to my RE and went to another RE where they did more thorough testing and found that DH had a large number of little swimmers but the swimmers liked to swim in a circle and could never move forward-AH our problem finally surfaced. RE #2 said IVF-ICSI probably the best way to get that baby. IVF#1 bought us 2 bundles and I am already to have #3-DH wants to wait.
I would say if you are wonder if DH's is the reason for the miscarrage (I am so sorry you had to go through that) it might not be the reason. So many things happen-many women going through miscarriages and never know that they were ever pregnant. It might have been just an act of nature with no answer.
Enjoy the TCC times. It is such a hard road.
