Default Soyu based foods affecting male fertility

http://www.cnn.com/2005/HEALTH/06/22...eut/index.html

Preliminary work but it seems that soy based foods, tofu and legumes could negatively affect male fertility. We are consumers of Soy milk and tofu in this household. We also have our share of edamame. Perhaps this is an issue for us? What do you all think?

Michael.

Hey, Anything is possible. Those are not foods we eat, so I guess that is one less thing we have to worry about. Could you ask your dr about it?

Yes, I read that too. I got this from "Getting Pregnant" book that is very informative.

Anyways, it says for both males and females to stay away from soy products that produce estrogens that can inhibit ovulation and sperm production (f/m). Also a weird thing I read too was to stay away from peas. It has been found to be a natural contraceptive in both male/female as well. I hadn't read about other legumes, but endamame is soy as well.
