so confused-95% abnormal morph is good?

Okay, we are half way through our homestudy and all excited about adoption and my long lost OB/GYN finally calls me out of nowhere to say DH's last 2 sperm analyses with 100% abnormal morph and 95% abnormal morph are "normal" according her andrologist and we should just keep TTC naturally.

Huh? Does this sound right? We know we want to adopt but we were told that his morph was bad and preg would be rare. Is that not true? She said each lab is different and anything above 2% normal is good. She is not the most reliable doc as our last tests were March and she just finally following up...

Help!

I'm definately not a pro at this.. but in my opinion I'm not sure that what the doctor said makes any sense. I know all men produce some abnormal sperm but I believe they say that the sperm morphology should be 60% normal. I'm sure that you can get pregnant naturally with atleast SOME normal morphology but I'm not sure how well your chances are or how long it would take.. Then again.. she is the doctor.. NOT ME!!
My DH also has poor morphology (along with low count and motility) and our RE said IVF w/ ICSI was our best chance!
