my DH going to have SA test tomorrow. I heard my friend said that
before test the male have to release it first then waited for 3 days and
then only collect the specimen for test. Is that true??

Hi and Welcome My DH had a SA done. We just did not have sex for three days. The third day we woke up early in the morning, I had to help him go in the cup and I immediately rushed it to the lab. You have to make sure it gets to the lab in 30min. Let me know if you need more info. Make sure you guys do not have sex for the third day. He would have to masturbate. Good Luck

5 days should be fine... the lab usually asks how many days its has been since the last ejaculation.

We were told anywhere from 2-5 days was okay.

5 days is ok.....You should get a better SA since you waited 5 days. Good luck...Let us know how things went

SA result came back today and it's GOOD.

now i'm thinking should i do HSG first or IUI.

Thats great news! I'm glad that your DH's results came back favorable! An HSG would probably be a good next step, it will check for any tubal or uterine problems. Good luck!
