So since it has been so very quiet around here lately, I thought I'd start us a chatty thread.

Remember way back, when you were young. When you envisioned your future what did it look like?


Now remember back to when you were first planning you life with your partner. What did that look like?



What does your life look like now and what are your dreams now?



Around here, we all have a tight grip on reality. We know that life doesn't play by the rules. MFI changes each one of us in it's own way, and I beleive that for the most part it's for the better, we're stronger, more determined and more connected with our partners than most!

We did this excersize in a MFI support group in RL. It helped us to see that our lives wern't as hopeless as we had thought! Hope it does the same for you!

Remember way back, when you were young. When you envisioned your future what did it look like? I wanted to be a hairdresser, a wife, and mother of 3 boys names Matt, Cody, I never did pick a 3rd name!

Now remember back to when you were first planning you life with your partner. What did that look like? We wanted to have lots of "toys" camper, boat, atv, big house and old collecter mucle cars. We wanted to go to at least one Nascar race a year and we both wanted 3 children. All of this before we turned 30.

What does your life look like now and what are your dreams now? We are 28. We both drive used late model vehicles. We have a beautiful DD. We do own our own home and a camper and boat. We still would love anouther child and have put the rest of our "dreams" on pause. That's the most important one. We want to raise our children to be good people. We want to enjoy what we do have in life, we want to grow old together. We want the economy to pick back up and oil prices to go down.

I guess our dreams are still the same, just a little differant.

Remember way back, when you were young. When you envisioned your future what did it look like? I was going to graduate high school, go to college to be a physical therapist, and marry this guy i dated in high school, have kids then grow old together in New York

Now remember back to when you were first planning you life with your partner. He was in the army.. I was working as a therapy aid in new york at a rehab center.. I never thought war was possible.. I just thought of marrying my husband.. He was my everything!! All we wanted was to have kids and grow old together as a family!

What does your life look like now and what are your dreams now? I am 27.. DH is almost 31 (on wed)... I am a nurse now and he's in the army.. We struggled with MF infertility for 6 years!! But we overcame it with faith and perserverence and gave birth to our beautiful baby boy in February.. We own our own brand new house.. and have our own stuff!! Now we want to enjoy our family.. build it furthur from here some day.. watch our baby boy grow and enjoy each other.. My dream would be for Dh never to have to go back to war, for him to be safe always.. and also to have my son safe from this crazy world.. and to give my son another sibling some day...

Now remember back to when you were first planning you life with your partner. What did that look like?
Same type of thing house, kids not so much the job maybe for him not me.


What does your life look like now and what are your dreams now?
Same dream but more of having children we already picked out names and plans for their lives. we still want great jobs but I can't stop thinking about my children and how much I want to be with them and hold them.
