I'm around. I will start my first round of IVF on January 28....that's when I start the shots anyway.

I'm very nervous! Thinking about the shots makes me emotional.

My husband was diagnosed with a slight variocele this summer. We decided not to do surgery based on the recommendations of my fertility specialist - possibly a biased opinion. However, it's hard to know who to trust.

We'll see what all of this brings. I am trying hard not to think about what we will do next if this doesn't work for us....as I want to go in with an optimistic mind. Maybe surgery would be worth a try - seems backwards though - huh?

I have been researching a ton on male-factor - just wanting a glimmer of hope that our chances are better b/c I am fairly young, 30, & I've been pregnant before (with my husband). It just seems that we would be good candidates.

Time will tell - It's so hard to be patient!

Stay in touch!

Hi Girls! Sorry I haven't been around. To be honest, I feel funny posting here now that I'm pg. I don't want to make anyone feel uncomfortable, as I know it was hard for me at times when I was still ttc and pg women would still hang around. I've been lurking though, I gotta keep an eye on all my buddies!

Chrissy- How have you been? Are you still looking into adoption? Will you still be ttc too? Good luck to you this year! I hope all of your dreams come true in 2008!

Renee- How are you doing? How's your little man doing? I bet you are getting so excited now! I can't wait to see pics of him when he's here!

Tweetness- Good luck to you with your IVF cycle. I hope you get your bfp! That would be a great way to start off the new year! FWIW, my DH had a varicocele and had surgery to repair it in June and we conceived at the end of September! It is not a guarantee and is not successful for everyone, but there are success stories for sure!

Hi to the rest of you girls! Happy New Year! I wish you all many blessings for 2008!

my friends are back! I've been lonely around here. Let me first just say that I think having you pregos around here is a great morality booster! We all overcome MF in our own ways and any sucess that one of us may have is a success for our whole group! We all seem to be buisy with something....alot of IVF happening! Before we know it we will have a few more newly pregos again! 2008 is the year of the MF babies! Yes, we are still on the adoption route but our SW is kinda bucking the path we want to go.....let me say that SW's are almost as bull headed as RE's!

Tweetness- I hope you have success and your IVF cycle brings you your !! GOOD LUCK!! I'll be on the IVF board watching over you!

Sheri- I'm doing fine.. It's getting close !! DH and I were talking and now we when people ask when he's coming we can say NEXT MONTH!! How crazy!! And yes, you'll all definately be seeing tons of pictures of this little miracle!!
How's your pregnancy going so far ?? I'm amazed and so happy you had it happen naturally!! YAY!!!!
Are you going to find out the sex ?? If so, when ?? Is there one in particular you would prefer over the other ??
Don't feel funny about posting on here.. Although I do know how you feel.. I kind of feel funny posting on the IVF board and on here but I do really think it gives people hope and lets them know that it really can happen!! (especially in your case.. It happened naturally!!!)

Chrissy.. whats your SW doing ?? How is he/she getting in the way ??

UGH! We really want to adopt a child age 3-18 months of age and in Wisconsin that's not really an option so I did the leg work myself and found out that Ohio does. They have a great surrender program and it works! We would be able to acheive our dream adoption there but our SW thinks it's a bad idea and wants us to stay on her (much more expensive) agency infant program that will take anouther 2 years (or more).

I'm sorry Chrissy!! You have to do what you feel is right and follow your heart. I know there was a lady that was on the IUI board last year and she was put on the list and literally like the next month she was bringing home a baby!!

I hope it takes no where near 2 years for you!! How stressful!!
