hey everyone, Well I just want to introduce myself Im Lindsey, I normally hang around the cycle buddies board Had a few questions though and was hoping for some answers! ..... My hubs just today found out that his sperm count was in the 45 million range when the doc said normal is 79-90 Million... my thing is i never thought it would be him.. that it was just me (Im pretty irregular) and my question is ... is how "bad" is 45 mil. I dont wanna get all down in the dumps but It is kinda tough to hear your hubbys count is low. He is 24 and im 21.. just never thought we'd be here at that young of an age!! Bad thing is he went to the Doc by himself and didnt ask any type of questions, I would have asked tons so Im kinda confused!! I have the paper work here but its really no help just a bunch of stuff I cant read right! I may try and get him to scan it to see if any of yall could help me understand it any better. thank you in advance for any answers! Lyn.

Lindsey !! My husband had a count of less than 20 million.. Our doctors said anything less than 20 was low.. His count was like 10 or 11 million.. so severely low.. He also had issues with his sperm other than the count. Low motility, and poor morphology.. Do you know if your husband had the semen analysis done or just a count ?? That may tell more.. I'd like to think that 45 million is a great number to work with. I mean.. 45 MILLION!! Depends on if they can move and the shape I guess..

Renee is right, it only takes one so I think the count is okay, I think they count that as around mid-line. What does the paperwork say about the rest of it? motility, morphology, viscocity.....blah blah blah.

My dh has a zero count, not one! We still found a way to be parents together. Don't count yourselves out yet and the fact that you guys are younger only increases your options. Be glad you found out now and not in 10 years! Time is on your side. KUP!
