Icon3 MI & Cell Phones

Hi ladies - I thought the article below might be something for our DHs to think about. I had my DH read it last night. He always keeps his cell phone in his pants pocket all day long at work. He says he can't put it in his shirt pocket, because when he reaches down to get things, it would fall out all the time.

Can Cell Phones Cause Male Infertility?

June 28 - Men who frequently use cell phones could be at greater risk for infertility, according to one European study. But a local expert is not convinced of the findings. Carrying a mobile phone near your waist could cut your sperm count by nearly 30%, according to research conducted by Hungarian scientists. The study indicates that the prolonged use of cell phones is damaging to sperm production.

Las Vegas infertility specialist, Dr. Rachel McConnell, says the report is interesting but not conclusive. Dr. McConnell says that more research needs to be done to analyze other issues that can also be related to low sperm counts. While the jury's still out on cell phone use, it's widely believed that higher stress levels and smoking can reduce the quality and quantity of sperm.
