Hi ladies,
Well, after 14 months of TTC I finally convinced DH to get tested and here I am. We have been diagnosed with very low count and very few moving. Good news is that the ones that are moving are moving 3+. I'm just learning what all of this means. So, as of right now we are not able to move forward with IUI, but IVF is probably an option. I'll know more July 9th after we meet with the RE about our options.

I'll be reading as much as I can on this board as I have a lot to learn. Any suggestions to increase motility and count would also be wonderful! =)

I am sorry about DH's S/A. I was devestated when we found out about my DH's count too. I have my DH on several vitamins- DH takes them religiously and clomid. I'm here if you need me. I've been down the same road. Other than vitamins, does your DH drink a lot of coffee or drink a lot of alcohol? I had to get DH to knock both of those wayyyyy down.

Thanks Brooke and Tkeys. I think our options will be pretty good as well. I am 100% open to IUI if we can go down that road. =) I'll see what is said at our appointment next week.

Brooke, DH doesn't drink alcohol, is a huge fan of sprite, and can't stand coffee. He also takes vitamins (but not anything for fertility yet) so looks like his count is better than it could have been if he DID drink caffeine. =)

So Brooke, has DHs count gone up since the 5mil?

Hi and Welcome to the board. I am sorry to hear about your DH numbers. My Dh numbers were low as well (3.5mil) he also had low morphology and motility. A lot of ladies have been through the things you are going through. We went to see an urologist and found out DH had varicoceles that resulted in the low counts. He had surgery June 4th. If you have any questions just let us know or just need to talk about anything...we are all here for you. I wish you the best of luck. Hopefully you will get your BFP soon.

Yep, we have 23 million now with some insane amount of swimmers and forward progression, which the RE was very happy with considering we were coming from 3 million and 5 million-those numbers stung. I just hope that after the sperm wash there will still be tons to work with. I am going to have an IUI probably Monday or Tuesday. I've been on clomid this week and today I feel like a bloated mule.

Welcome to the board, as you already can see, these ladies are full of knowledge. I don't have much for advice on this, we had a zero count (azoo) so we never got the chance to inprove it, however I do know several ladies had sucess here with iui (me!) and ivf and suppliments/vitamins. Good luck and let us know what your RE says!

Brooke, I was wondering how your IUI went??? I finally convinced DH to let us move forward and we will be having our IUI next month (AUG). I am so excited, but I really want to improve his count. Tkeys gave me some vitamins to take, but I am wondering if anyone knows if Fertilaid or fertilityblend are good? My doc mentioned fertilityblend which is why I ask.
I may just start another thread to see what everyone thinks.
