Jen-

So, how do you like living among the land of the fertile? We are also LDS ( I am assuming you are since you went to BYU) and I have 3 friends who have gotten pregnant on birth control. Now, is that frustrating or what??!!

And, for the last 8 months my calling has been in Nursery! (although it was really fun).

I am always glad to find kindred spirits in the LDS world. Where in Texas is your DH from?

You guessed right, we're LDS too . DH is from the Houston area -- most of his family is still out there, so we've been down to visit a few times. He actually loves the snow and the mountains, so we may be here for a while.

It really does feel like the land of the fertile around here sometimes. I work with a girl who got pg on bcp's last year, and we've been through 2 receptionists in the last couple of years who had babies and quit. Then again, there are at least 4 families at church who have adopted, and so have my brother & sil, so I do see a bit of both sides. I noticed in the annoucements at chruch last week that our combined meeting on Sunday will be about LDSFS & adoption, so that will be interesting.

Anyway, It's good to meet you and find another "kindred spirit" on the boards!

You know, about a month or two ago, we had a combines RS/PH meeting about adoption. I, of course, was in Nursery, but we had already expolored the adoption scenario so I doubt there would have been much I didn't know. We were ready to complete our paperwork for adoption and be approved to "wait" through LDSFS but we both had the strong impression that we should go further with our IF treatments instead of adopt, so we are doing that!

I actually have friends I went to college with (at Texas A&M) who are LDS and now that they are married, are also having IF issues. Tow of the couples have sdopted and two are "waiting" to adopt. I think I am the long ranger in the infertility group right now but I do have another friend on clomid in my ward.

We actually live in the Houston Temple District, its about an hour and 20 minutes away.

Good luck in your quest for a baby!
