Icon5 How are you trying to fix it??

Hello Ladies,

I sure do wish there were more people on this board to talk to! What I am trying to find out is how are you coping or trying to fix your Male Infertility Problem?

My DH - Has overall bad sperm. All counts are low.
We are trying Fertility Blend for Men (Vitamin Supplement) for 3 months. The he will go in for another s/a and see if anything is higher and then if it is, go forth with the IUI.

Best wishes to you all.

Mindy

HI Mindy,

My DH takes clomid, half a pill a day, every day. He has been on it almost a month now. His counts have ranged but have still improved since his first one, they started at 600,000 and have increased to 20 million.

I am still trying to find info myself. It is a very frustrating issue and I am sorry you are having to go through it. My husband is repeating his test as well. I have lots of good things about men taking the clomid though, but I am not sure what qualifies a man to be able to take it??

Sending lots of healthy and LOTS OF to you! I am hear if you need to vent! As I find out about my hubby, I will let you know.

The urologist that dh went to didnt do jack....he referred us to do IVF.....he had 10,000 for his first count and 20,000 for his second after the proxeed....although none of them were moving after the proxeed....we have just started getting the workup for IVF and dh just did another SA yesterday so I am hoping maybe it improves a little

We were also advised to do IVF (see my sig). Just having 'Male Factor' as a couple's infertility issue is a warranted reason for doing IVF. My RE is also including ICSI with our first IVF for good measure!

Hi ladies,

I also struggled with MF only issues. There was nothing our urologist could do to improve our count so we went straight to IVF. We actually ended up doing 1/2 ICSI and half regular. Alot of the eggs were destroyed during the ICSI process. We ended up implanting two regular embryos. One stuck, I carried my son to full term and he was born in Jan. I have two frozen, one ICSI and one regular. Overall I had produced a decent amount of follicles but not a ton so we didn't have as many leftover after all the procedures. That is why I only got four viable embryos out of the whole cycle.
I know going to IVF is not for everyone. But we made the decision that felt right for us. Plus we consulted more than one RE and felt very comfortable with everyone's opinions. Good luck with your own personal journeys.
