How is everyone (TAPSHOE..where are u)
Just thought I would start a thread to see how everyone is doing. Is anyone preggo? Anyone is the 2ww? How are DH doing?
My DH just had varicocele surgery June 4th. My AF came saturday so I am not preggo. We will try this month. He gets a SA done August 18th so hopefully some good news then. Our three year anniversary is August 20, a BFP would be a great gift. We decided if I am not preggo by December, then IUI here I come.
My DH is doing great. He went back to work two weeks after his surgery and did not have any problems. He is a UPS driver. He is back to playing ball and everything else..
Good luck Ladies....maybe this is our month...can't wait to hear some BFP stories

Re: How is everyone (TAPSHOE..where are u)
Hi!
Our infertility problems were/ are due to male factor. We were recommended to go straight to IVF. We m/c after our first IVF cycle and were lucky enough to have 2 frozen embryos. I am 9 weeks 3 days PG with one of our frozen embryos. I feel VERY blessed!
Good luck to all of you too!

Great News! Tweetness I am so happy for you. I can't wait to get a BFP. What type of male factor was DH dealing with (if you don't mind me asking)

Re: How is everyone (TAPSHOE..where are u)
Hi TTC-
We had our first IUI yesterday morning. We had 9 million post wash-which is a good number. The lab said we had 18 million so I'm not sure, but it is certainly more than we were working with before!
I haven't seen tapshoe.

Re: How is everyone (TAPSHOE..where are u)
ttc3years - I'm glad DH is doing well following his surgery. I hope it proves to be as successful as my DH's surgery was.
Brooklyn - It sounds like the surgery and Clomid has really helped your DH's counts! I hope that this IUI is successful for you!!! I'll keep my fingers crossed!! Keep in mind that his counts will continue to improve over time too! That is good news for when you begin to TTC #2!!! Good luck!
Tweetness - Congratulations!!! That is wonderful! I hope you have a H&H 9 mths!!!
Right now, I'm in the 2WW... I o'd on the 5th, so I'm anxiously waiting to test. My BBT had a dip yesterday, so I'm curious whether it was an implantation dip or just an estrogen surge?!?! I guess I'll find out sometime next week!

Re: How is everyone (TAPSHOE..where are u)
Hey Brookelyn510! I have enjoyed reading your blogs & others. I am in similar situation.
Me-32 No known problems
DH- Low count, low everything really, diagnosed w/ varicocele. Surgery to correct (found five!) April 9, 2008
We have been TTC since 05, but have been agressively trying for 2yrs. At first we thought we were timing it poorly, so I started using OPK's & continued trying. NOTHING
So I put together a conception kit w/ OPK's, collection cup & a cervical cap. NOTHING. We heard about Fertell, the at home fertility test $80.00, the first test was no good, they shipped a new one. My test was good, my husbands showed abnormal sperm parameters.
DH went to urologist & they found a varicocele. DH was put on Clomid for about 6 months, and we began seeing our RE. I began clomid and we began IUI's.
IUI#1 BFN
IUI #2 BFN
RE did sperm assay and results were poor.
IUI #3 BFN
So we decided the varicocele was our problem, and DH had varicocelectomy April 9, 2008, they found 5! Well just today:
IUI#4 We are encouraged because DH's sperm was 17 million prewash, & 7.2 million washed. So the
2WW begins. I hope this will be THE ONE for you, too.

Re: How is everyone (TAPSHOE..where are u)
Hi Amy-
Yes, our stories are a lot alike, even to the hyphenated last name
I will keep my fingers crossed for you for sure.
When was your IUI? Mine was last Wednesday. Hopefully this will be it for us!
Welcome to the board by the way. Also, take a look over on cycle buddies, there is more action over there!

Re: How is everyone (TAPSHOE..where are u)
Thanks for the warm welcome! I had my last IUI on Saturday 7/12/08. I really hope this is it for all of us. My heart really goes out to some of these stories. I am staying encouraged, after all 2008 is supposed to be the year of new beginnings, or at least that's what 8 symbolizes.

Re: How is everyone (TAPSHOE..where are u)
Prayers & positive thoughts to you TTC3years & Brookelyn510. I have ran across quite a few post surgery success stories, a great deal 3 months post surgery. Each time I have an IUI I think about Jon & Kate plus 8, you know they did IUI for their multiples.

Congrats to our BFPs. I know Brooke has one now as well. I am in the 2WW, but didn't do anything this cycle. I'm pretty sure it's a no go, but I'm just more excited about getting started with my IUI cycle. GOOD LUCK to everyone! =)

Re: How is everyone (TAPSHOE..where are u)
Hi Tapshoe! Good Luck...I'm sure you will have great results for your Anniversary.
DH is doing ok...He is starting to complain about stomach pains, but he does not want to go to the doc. We have an appt Aug18th. He said the pains are not too bad, just uncomfortable feeling. I'm hoping the urologist did not mess up anything

Re: How is everyone (TAPSHOE..where are u)
TTC3years!
hey..so your DH has stomach pains?? hmm....my DH didnt complain about anything like that..but HE DID complain for about 4 weeks after his surgery about a slight pain/feeling in his testical area..he said it wasn't even so much a pain as it was "sensitive"...it was very sensitive to certain movements etc. when he went into the doc for his after surgery check up, she said that is normal...it is part of the healing process. I also rem i posted on here about it and DMG05 said her DH had the same feelings..and eventually they went away. do you think THAT maybe is what he is feeling?....just trying to help....
i have a ? for you!...a while ago after your DH surgery i think i rem reading somewhere that your hubbys doc decided NOT to go ahead with the right side varicocele....and only did the left. i was just lying in bed the other night and realized i wanted to know why and what made that decision? im just a very curious person...is the left side more important or something???
I hope you are right and that our anniversary brings us some good news!..no sex for us for the next few days now bcuz his SA is next week!...so we have to abstain (obviously)......cant wait to hear from u!
