Icon7 Hi, new here!

Hi,

I am new here and will like to introduce my self. My name is melissa and I am 32 yrs old, my DH is 32 also. We have a daughter that is 7 yrs old. We have been TTC for 10 months without any luck and recently, last month found out that my DH has some problems with sperm motility, the rest is normal. My DH urologyst is doing another S/A to confirm everything but my OB says that since we haven't got PG in 10 months is more like is not going to happen unless we do IUI or IVF. I am kind of taking a break since these last 10 months had been really hard, but I want another baby so bad....but right now we can't afford paying for all that since we just moved to our new house. I am parying and waiting for a miracle. I will like to find some support with people that is going through the same.

thanks and hope to make lots of friends in here.
Mely

Welcome Mely!

My DH is in a similar situation, but we don't have kids yet. We are pursing IUI in October in hopes it works.

This is a bit of a quiet board, but very supportive ladies here and all around SK.

My DH his on Fertility Blend, which I think has been helping. You might want to check that out as an alternative d/t your current $$ situation. (houses suck the cash right out of your pockets don't they!)

Keep us posted!

Hi Teece,

Yes, all our money is going to the house for now, but I am trying to focus in loosing some weight and then go back to TTC. I got some info from my OB and the cost for a IVF is arround $10,000.00 and that's a lot of money, this clinic doesn't take insurance and I don't know how much is for IUI. I need to call to get the info but I have been a little lazy since I know that we are taking the break until January, unless my DH's urologyst give us some better hopes after his next S/A in 2 weeks. My DH asked the urologyst about fertility blend and he said that sometimes it can help for count but not for motility what suck....but we may try just in case right it wont hurt to try.

I hope that you get a baby in your frist try with the IUI....lots of luck and thanks for your support.
Mely

Hi!

IUI is inexpensive. The cost depends on the lab, of course. We are getting our first iui next cycle. The cost of the iui is $175. We will need a round of clomid (about $50) plus an ovulation prediction kit (around $60). So the entire cost will be under $300!

I have heard that iui can be very helpful with motility issues. I wish you luck!

Hi ladies! I was thinking about IUI because DH has low motility too! We have been trying for 3 years but only 5 months charting. I do recommend the herbal way for improvement for your DH. Mine is taking one similar to Fertility Blend with more in it and he is asking me for his next bottle because he feels great and we have seen a great increase at least in volume. We haven't done another SA yet because of the "pressure" on DH. I think we will keep charting through December and then find a specialist for IUI. Good luck to everyone here! We all need to chat more on this board because it is too quiet! Chris

I see the last post was 10-20 this year. I hope someone is still out there. I am new to all of this. I was just dx with pcos and am on metformin. My husband just did the se and even though the doc hasn't gotten back with me yet, the nurse did tell me that he had abnormal morphology. Does anyone here have experience with this aspect?

We did have a pregnancy in 2002 but it was an ectopic. Hope is one thing but it would be great to find someone who has been through this.....

Debbie

Hi Deb! Well my DH has low motility. I would recommend contact a Doc for him but I have put my husband on some herbs for motility. I know there are some out there that could work for you, but you might have to reasearch which ones. Good luck and I hope you find your answer. This board is too quiet so you might be able to try www.ovusoft.com message boards. Good luck!
