New here but not to the boards. Quick question really. After over three years of trying and feeling awful because I figured it was my "advanced age" that was causing all of our trouble, I just found out that it was also male factor. I did two IVF cycles, one cancelled and the other a failed cycle. 4 embabies, none took. All ICSI'd. I did manage to get pg twice after that: one on my own 100% and one on 50mg Clomid (first time and got pg) Both resulted in losses. But hey! After almost three years, to get pg twice in 3 months is in itself quite a feat!! I was very excited!!!
So, it comes down to what to do next. I really don't want to do IVF because I just hated what it did to me. But I am 38 (39 next month). Coupled with Male Factor and I wonder if I'm not toeing the line too closely.
I guess I am trying to get a feel as to where you guys were and what decisions you made and why. I would much rather do IUI, and probably will do at least a couple of cycles, but will have to brace myself as to what may await after those "couple of cycles". Anyone break down the sucess rates around here?
Thanks one and all for any opinions and advice you can offer!
