Hi everone, my name is Andie and I am new here.

DH and I have been TTC for 3 months and he recently went to the urologist b/c he bruised himself and then he got an S/A. We found out that he has 2 varicoeles but his S/A wasn't terrible. The results were:

Overall count = 52MM (13MM/ml)
Motility = 55%
Morphology = 70%

So he has good quality boys just not enough of them. His doctor suggessted we continue to try that many couples can get PG with those numbers, and if he wants we can pursue hormones or surgery. Obviously surgery is last resort but I wanted to know about other stories where you dealt with this and what you opted for. We are TTC # 1, and we want at least 2 children so hormones would be only a temporary solution.

Did you end up doingIUI? Are my DH's numbers terrible? Anyone get PG naturally with similar numbers?

Thanks for listening.....I feel like we are really sad but need hope that there are other people living through this too who we can get support from and give support to.

Your DHs numbers are not bad at all and you still have a good chance to get pregnant on your own!

Hi Andi! Sorry I must have missed your post!

My DH and I are (close to) going through the same thing. We had been trying for a year. I decided to get some bloodwork and all my stuff came back normal and my cycles could time the tides I'm so regular.

Well, turned out DH had a bi-lateral varicocele too. His s/a was pretty bad 77mm count, 3% motility, 13% morphology. He just had the surgery and we are waiting, waiting, waiting now. Next s/a is April 1.

If his numbers go up 100% with motility, that's still only 6%! So the dr said if we can get it up to 15%, we would do an IUI. Which isn't my first option, but I am 31 and running out of time...

Your DH sounds like he has pretty decent numbers, they are all above average. Total count could be a bit higher, but it's still good! I would imagine you could conceive naturally in 12 months, which is normal.

Doing horm treatments could help him get his counts higher. But, don't feel sad! We'd be thrilled to have your numbers!

our #'s were worse and we got

I highly reccommend a fertility blend thats what we did!!!!!!
