Hello all,

I am getting very impatient with getting pregnant. DH wants to wait til December for an IUI and I would like one next month. I need advice to be a little more patient or advice on how to talk DH into the IUI in August. August will be his 3rd month from his surgery. The doc said we should see an improvement in August. AF is due Augst 1st and I already have my clomid. I figure since he already has to do a SA, why not do one for an IUI. I'm not sure if he could kill two birds with one stone but I am hoping. What are you ladies doing to for patience or what made you decide to keep trying natural? What made you and DH decide to have an IUI? (i hope i'm not getting to personal)

I understand how you feel... that is why we went ahead with the IUI after DH's 3 mth post-op. My DH HATES giving his sample, so he was glad he didn't have to give more than once. I would say just talk it over with DH... December is a long ways off. Maybe you could have him get the s/a and based upon the results of the s/a decide whether to TTC naturally or go on to IUI. If the count/ motility is still lower than ideal (<20 mil count and <50% motility) then go for IUI... if the numbers look great maybe reach a comprimise to try on your own a month or two before going to IUI.

Honestly, we have been off BCPs since Feb of 2007 and I think every month when AF showed recently I was breaking down. I don't cry in front of DH that much and he was finally tired of seeing me cry. Not that that is a great way to persuade him, but I just said something is wrong and we need to fix it. Plus, I have DD and we don't want a ton of years between them.

As for patience, I have NONE in this area, but I do know that SK has really helped tremendously. GOOD LUCK! Let us know if anything works! Otherwise, we are here with you through December and then some. =)

I might try showing him the youtube videos on IUI, and just try to sell him on being aggressive w/ this. After all, he had surgery, you have improvement, this could send you over the edge & it takes sooo little time & is minimally invasive for you & 0 for him. If that doesn't work cry like KLB21 said. lol

If you find a link to a great IUI video on youtube will you post it? I don't use it that much, but would love to see anything you find that is worth while. I think I'll need to do a little more persuading to DH even though I'm hitting CD1 tomorrow and we are a go! =) THANKS!
