Hey, SheKnows Guest - we need you! The SheKnows TTC boards aren't going anywhere - but perhaps you'd consider helping us grow our new TTC message boards at talk.PregnancyAndBaby.com? We want to be able to provide even more resources and support to hopeful moms, which means giving SK's sister community a little extra love. Please check out the new P&B boards here - and thanks!

Does anyone here use donors? If so can I ask who you go through.
We've been using Fairfax Cryobank but I'd like to look around a bit and see what else is out there.
TIA
Hello! I am also using donor sperm. California Cryobank has been my bank of choice. They have a lot of donors to choose from though availability can be an issue. The donor we are currently using was only listed for 4 days before they ran out. We bought 6 and put them in a storage account. If you need more for a sibling you can prob find out when more will be released. But if you buy the vials as needed you will likely have to choose a new donor each cycle. I guess this is the downside of a big bank along with being pricey (approx same as fairfax). If cost is a big issue Northwest Cryo is the cheapest I have heard of at almost half California Cryobanks price. This has made them so popular they actually stopped accepting new customers for a couple months to better serve current customers.
One of the other pluses with CCB for me is it's close enough I can drive to pick up and save the $130 on shipping.
