Hi Sadie- I have heard of this, but have no experience. I've heard it's for boys with low counts, possibly because of hormone imbalances.

I did a quick search on Google and lots of sites came up.

Hello,

My DH has done clomid for about a year, he is not on it now because we finally had success!

It is mainly used for me with a hormone imbalance, like FSH follicle stimulating hormone. This is what my DHs problem is and the clomid raised his numbers from 600,000 to 10-20 million, depending on the s/a.

Good luck!

My dh went on it back when we were ttc. Basically the urologist just threw it out there to try. It didn't help him at all and actually made his count worse. At the time when I was researching it, there wasn't much information (this was like 2 years ago). But from what I read it helps men who have low testosterone which my dh did not have. Hopefully there is more reasearch and stuff out there now for you.

FYI, Clomid is also used by men to help boost their testosterone. My DH has used it before to help with bodybuilding. He tried it for IF to see if it would help and it didn't. But his MF is pretty bad, so that is probably why...
