For all who remember me my husband and I have been trying to have a family now for two years. About a year ago we found out that Matt's undecended testicle/surgery at birth has really effected our chances. So my husband has one low functioning testicle and "normal" hormone levels. We went to two urologists now and the second one is thankfully a specialist on male infertility. In October I believe the doctor put my husband on clomid daily and reduced it to three times a week. At that time he also suggested to go on a supplement sold via the internet called Proxeed. 3 month supply is approx $300 but we decided to try it out, because if I can prevent twins or more somehow, we would do whatever it took. Frankly though whatever we could produce would be estatic to us since Matt's first 3 tests showed total sperm under 1 million. So now he has been on both treatments for approximately 5-6 months and we got his current test results last week showing an improvement to 9 million total sperm and 4 million mobile!!!!!! I frankly believe it was the proxeed that helped because our first 3 month test on clomid alone showed litttle to no results. Matt is continuing the treatments and they even said that after the next test post 90 days if he improves more to their "marker" of 5 million active sperm that we can try for IUI!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This was great news for us and hoping to be able to do that soon. To relieve stress, I stopped watching baby story, birth day, reading pg books etc and stopped charting. I find myself checking cm every once in a while out of habit, but have loved the no more temping deal. I figure we won't need it after all because at the least I will have ultrasounds and IUI to predict my ovulation. Just waiting now for AF to show up finally. I kept feeling pains thinking she was coming soon, but nothing yet. On CD 36 now...
On a side note, I bought the Windsor Pilates cds from Costco and actually like doing the workouts. It kind of relaxes me and has really helped tons on my flexibility. Sorry, I didn't mean to do a plug, but know that this process is so stressfull all the time especially around af time.
