This is in regards to a question Sheri (lovineachday) brought up in the epidural post regarding her son being in the posterior (sunny side-up) position during labor and exercises/positions to use to get baby positioned properly beforehand.
Christopher was in the same position during my labor with him (which was part of the reason I ended with a c-section), and based on my belly shape a NICU nurse on these boards told me that it looked like I might have the same problem with Ian. I think this is really good information for everyone, actually. The basic premise (that I can recall without reading the website) is that when women used to work the fields (bending over, belly down) they didn't have near the problems with posterior presentation that we have now. Bedrest (though often necessary) and our overall less physically demanding lifestyles have made posterior presentation more common. I hope this site is a help to everyone!
