Yes, To Kill a Mockingbird is where we got the name Atticus. We both like the sound of the name and remembered (from when we read the book a long time ago) that Atticus was a pretty cool guy in the book. I bought 2 copies of the book to give to DP and Caleb on the day he is born so I just re-read it . I really love all the traits Atticus has like his sense of justice & equality and treating each person with dignity and respect. DP & I really hope Caleb will think those are important qualities too.
I remember when I found out that Harper Lee was a woman. I thought it was so cool that a woman wrote such an amazing book. What a great name for a girl! Maybe your next one
