extreme morning sickness or normal?
Hi Ladies :-)
So, i'll give you a run down of whats been happening the past few weeks. I'm basically bed ridden, cant keep anything down and checked the scales this morning to find that I am 10lb's lighter! For the past few days especially I havent been able to keep any kind of food down.
I've tried all the remedies, ginger, preggy pops, saltines etc etc oh and i wore sea bands so often for a while that I could feel them still there after I took them off!!!
Is anybody else going through this? Is this normal or a little extreme? I'm panicking a little with the weight loss so have made an appointment to see the Dr. tomorrow.
I've been pregnant before (still born, 8 years ago) and never had sickness like this. Does anybody have any wisdom? I dont know wether I am panicking over nothing!!

Re: extreme morning sickness or normal?
You sound pretty bad I would go to the doctor and have him give you something to keep food down. Let us know how it goes. I have 3 kids this is my 4th pregnancy and I've never had morning sickness ever. This time around I have it all day long, but I'm not bedridden.

Re: extreme morning sickness or normal?
your doctor will most likely give you something for the nausea. he will probably not be as worried about the weight loss as if the baby is getting enough nutrients. With both my boys I lost a ton of weight first trimester and i was in the hospital a lot. I constantly needed IVs. Do you feel dehydrated? Dizzy?
If you can keep some food down enough to get some nutrients and then throw up a little while later that is better then eating and throwing it right back up. I haven't been hospitalized this time yet for this reason. I can keep food down for about 45 mins then it comes up so I know I am getting some nutrients. Last time I was getting nothing so needed to be hospitalized. Is your Urine dark? Are you drinking enough?

Re: extreme morning sickness or normal?
My morning sickness has been horrible too!! I've been pretty close to the same as you. I've been living in my a/c bedroom because it was the only place that actually helped! I haven't been keeping much done myself. I did finally talk to my doctor, and he gave me zofran, and that helps some! Also, lemonade for some reason helps me, not sure why, but it does! I hope the doctor can give you something, and you'll feel great soon!! Good luck!!

Re: extreme morning sickness or normal?
I would definitely see your Dr. about keeping food down, but mine was pretty bad, too. I was a little woozy in the morning, but not a big deal, and starting mid afternoon going all night I was a wreck! It lasted for several weeks before disipating, but still, I would rather be safe than sorry, so make the appointment. You're in my prayers that everything is okay.

Re: extreme morning sickness or normal?
thanks ladies!
I am trying to drink a lot of water so that I dont get dehydrated, I have been a little dizzy at times too :-(
I am FORCING myself not to be sick for as long as possible after a meal so i can give some nutritients to the bean, even so i cant even stomach eating much.
I'll update tomorrow morning after my dr's appointment, my doctor fitted me in before clinic at 8.30am.. very nice of them!

Re: extreme morning sickness or normal?
I was doing really bad also I lost 5 pounds (last time I lost 10) the Dr. gave me Zofran Generaic as well. Since I was nervous I only take one every other day, but it helps a lot. I'm eating. I can not drink water at all but with a little lemon juice I can, so that is what I drink. Lot and lots of saltines. Also I found mashed potatos to be OK . Good luck tomorrow. Try to stay away from the fridge and garbage can, both send me running...
