Default Why is this topic so taboo?

Why is talking about the preacher's wife getting so much hate stirred up? Last I checked it was ok to talk about any subject. Yet one poster doesn't think its ok to be talked about. So thoughts on the case? Any bets on what the motive was? If the lady had a good reason , would you support her going free?

I have some ideas of what I think happened, but they are completely unsupported presumptions that don't deserve an audience at this point. I think I would only support her getting off scott free if she was attempting to protect herself or her children from abuse or death. Otherwise, while some reasons may seem noble or warranted, she murdered a person and should pay the price demanded by society.

I don't think it is wrong to talk about it. However, I think if you knew the family you are going to be sensitive to people making assumptions or just plain erroneus statements.

All that we know at this point is that she shot him in the back, then fled. Shooting someone in the back has long been considered at best cowardly and at worst low-down and dirty. However, we have no idea what actually happened that day other than these few facts.

It is difficult to even speculate as to a motive with so few facts. She could be mentally ill. He could've been abusive to either her or the kids. He could've cheated on her or she on him. She could've been abusive to him and just took it too far. It could've been an accident and she panicked and fled. We simply do not know with so few facts.

What is there to talk about? At this time we don't have hardly any information. What would you like us to debate about the topic? Hard to debate when we don't have any facts.

That's just the question Emaline. Why has the Media not been giving more info? Is the fact the guy was a well known preacher the reason? What makes this white woman any different from a black person? Because you know if this case is being held for some reason. So what makes this case so different?

Well, I know in the case of my pastor that was murdered that the media drudged his name through the mud and it totally was unfounded and forever tarnished his image. Some people think everything they hear on the news is fact instead of just conjecture and so if they "hear" from a "source" that he was a gay man making a pass at his attacker, then its all of the sudden everywhere and even though it was completely false to this day I'm sure there are a lot of people who believe it to be true. So I think personally, its better if the news media just doesn't get any information until it is FACT so people don't run around believing things that are not true just to satisfy our titilating need for "more information" right now.
