so what do you think about celeb charging for first pics of baby, first pic of wedding, etc. and then giving the money to charity?

i think i heard this morning (i was in the other room so correct me if i am wrong) that brangelina is donating the $1 million they are receiving to an african charity.

obviously giving the money to charity is preferrable to them keeping it, but should this transaction even occur is the question.

I think it absolutely should occur and it's great the money is going to good use. Why should they give away pictures of their baby. I actuality we shouldn't even care but we do. It's a free market economy so if someone will pay someone will take. Unfortunately for People Mag - the first pic was already leaked. Cute baby!

yes, a charity will benefit. however, the millions of dollars spent, time wasted, and possible jobs lost as a result of the ensuing lawsuits overrides the initial good intent of the act. celebs should just make their donations directly.

i am normally anti-government, but i would support a law against "bidding" wars on celebrity photos.

As long as the money is used for a good cause like Brangelina is doing by donating the full profits of the picture, then it's okay. I don't understand when celebrities sell their child's first photo, when they are already so rich.
