Question
Can someone get banned from SK for quoting someone else from another board (not SK related)?
Just curious.

Re: Question
I'm pretty sure that's against all message board TOU. Not 100% sure though.
I think quoting your own words is ok.

Re: Question
Quoting yourself is fine, quoting someone else with out permission is a no no. Who you planning on turning in?

Re: Question
Kady...it wasn't you this time.
It wasn't anyone...why is quoting someone else a no no? What's the worse that can happen?

Re: Question
I think that the reasoning is that it most times promotes/spreads drama.

Re: Question
You can be banned. Bringing it from one board with out permission is generally against TOS of the site or networks being crossed.

I really had to think about it for a second. I do have a quoting addiction.

Re: Question
It is ok to paraphrase. For example, you could say "on another board I frequent someone said they thought valentine's day was a scam. What do you all think?" You just can't do a direct quote.

Re: Question
Been lurking sense I heard of the huge "house cleaning" that took place LOL Thought I'd make quick comment on this question, I actually agree with Sarah. There is nothing in the SK TOS that says you cannot quote from other boards/sites, unless "purpose of which is solely to generate traffic to another site, then it may not be posted." Unless someone can find something in the SK TOS that I've missed or they've added since I last looked that says you can't. So far, all I've seen is that you can't quote from one board to another within SK, but you can paraphrase.

Re: Question
I don't see it as a problem if you are going to post something then you is letting the world see it always.
I have some girls that no longer post on sheknows that are borderline trolling me I noticed that when I do post on my due date site I have a huge number pf hits, I find it rather funny they are all on a different site now but some of them still come here to rock the pot.

Re: Question
Sarah I think you are correct. I don't see that in the TOS guidelines either.
