Need Ideas...not debate.

(Mer, I forgot to ask you this last night on the phone)

I want to do something nice for my mom and step-dad for financially helping us during the four months I was unemployed. If anyone has and creative ideas for two 60 year olds that already have everything in life they could possibly ask for

I'd appreciate it greatly.

I was thinking dinner and a movie but that seems so overrated and typical ya know?

Ideas? Oh and I figure I will spend $200 or less....maybe a lot less.

What kind of things are they into? There are usually couple packages at spa's. Or depending on where you are at, there are weekend getaways with wine tastings. You might want to call a travel agent, give her your price range and ask if there is anything "local" that they could drive to and still get away. Or call one of the fine dining places. I know a few of them in our area do full dinners with a wine included, that runs about $200. It is above the normal just a nice dinner thing. Or dinner to their favorite place and rent them a limo and put champagne and flowers in the limo.

Would they enjoy a massage? (I know my parents would)

Maybe a Manicure and Pedicure for your Mom and something else for your Dad. (I am not real good at picking stuff that men would like)

I see 24601 has recommended a dinner cruise - I was going to say the same thing. DH and I try to do the Odyssey for our anniversary. As far as noise, there are different bands on each deck, you could request a deck with a quieter band and ask to be seated away from it.
