I should have put more details in there, the link is to an article on the MSN homepage, talking about how the bird flu is most likely to be in the Americas within a year.

Yes, I would get vaccinated and get my kids vaccinated. Should the bird flu come to the US and be transferrable between humans I will not go out or take my kids out without a vaccine.

I just hope a vaccine is available by the time that happens. That's what scares me.

I am more scared of human hysteria than I am about bird flu. I own poultry and fowl and I will not be getting them any national ID nor will I allow the gov't to do anything to my animals. I dont get regular flu shots. The bird flu has killed only 91 people in 3 years which were mostly in countries where people sleep on floors where their chickens poop. More people are dying of AIDs, car accidents, terrorists, cancers and other things than have died and will likely die of the bird flu.

Vaccines in my opinion are mostly just for a few more bucks to be made off from scared individuals who were motivated by the media that made it look to be worse than the true threat is.

I totally understand, I'm saying the idea of the virus in the US and going from human to human, that scares me. That's when I'd get vaccinated, not now.
I should have been more clear, lol. Another reason I don't usually debate.

I ditto this. I am not even sure with the vaccine if I would be big on taking them out. If it gets ugly with or without the vaccine I will just home school. My husband is a software developer and can work from home, if he is fortunate to keep his job. If it gets bad the economy will hit the shitter.

Look on the bright side we will all still be able to fruck with each other.

BTW I hate watching the news, it makes me want to go to Cosco and buy them out.
