What would you do?
When I had an early scan last week, (where we saw a very small sac only) the nurse said the RE would be out of the office all this week, but if I was scared or freaking our her colleague would do a scan. I already have an appt. on Aug 1st and by then SHOULD see everything, including a heartbeat. Would you opt for a scan this week, even though you wouldn't be able to see much, or wait? It's only 8 days, I could do it, but I'm just so antsy and nervous about a blighted ovum. I have no idea why, I've never had one. I'm so afraid we'll get there and see an empty sac. And I will be 7 wks 2 d which is exactly what I was when we lost our last baby.
On the other hand, I've still got pregnancy symptoms although the m/s is very intermittent. Some days I'm sick and others I'm not. But every other symptom/sign is there all the time.
What do ya think ladies? Should I tough it out in chance that this lil one is a fighter and just started slow??
Honest opinions please!! hehe

Re: What would you do?
If you can tough it out then do it, I know I would feel the same and would have a hard time waiting. I'm antsy, too!

Re: What would you do?
hey angie--i think its really up to you...since i haven't been in the situation its hard for me to advise. however, its just 1 week away. think of it like the 2WW--you either test too early and risk seeing a false negative, or you wait until the beta when its more definite. That's the only way I can relate....
but its entirely up to how you feel. if you think it would make you feel more at ease, then you should go in. if you think its just that you're anxious for the aug 1 test, then you should wait.
keep posting!

Re: What would you do?
If you can wait I would wait. If it were me I wouldn't want to risk not being able to see anything because then I would worry more until the next u/s. But if it will ease your mind then you should do it. I think you should just treat this pregnancy just as it is a pregnancy. I know you are thinking of your last pregnancy and are afraid it will happen again. I totally understand because I had a mc before this one and it was hard not to compare. Try not to think of bad stuff that can happen just wait and take any news as it comes.
You are in my prayers,
Dani

Re: What would you do?
Hey Angie- I would wait too! Try to enjoy the next week, and do your best to proceed like all will be okay. Positive thoughts is the way to go! I know it's hard to wait, but if you can hang in there. Then they WILL SEE EVERYTHING, and you will know all is well! Good luck and Congratulations!

Re: What would you do?
That's a tough one. I don't know if I could wait. Whatever you decide will probably be fine. Think hard about which choice will make you feel the best. Good luck! Let us know if you go in this week.

Re: What would you do?
Angie, I think you're worried because you sent up an angel around this time last time. Just try to enjoy this next week of being pg. Let me tell you this about being pg...I worried I was losing Kirsten everyday for the whole 43 (yes 43) weeks and didn't enjoy the opportunity. Now she's 2 and I may never get to expierience it again. Nomatter what happens, you ARE pg right at this moment.

Re: What would you do?
I would wait. I kind of speak from my own personal hell a few years back. I did IUI and finally got pregnant, at 6wks had a u/s that showed what everyone wants to see, a little heart beating away. Excited I left the clinic and made an appointment to see my reg OB. At my 1st OB appoint u/s I should have been at 8w5d, instead I saw a small blob showing 7w1d. the doc who was leaving to go out of town wanted a 2nd opinion and asked me to come back the following week to confirm the u/s. I ended up stressing knowing the truth and having to wait a week for confirmation. I was royally pissed too that they couldnt give me a straight answer either.
SO do as suggested, wait and see your reg MD. Enjoy this week and everything that goes with it.
