Icon5 What questions should I ask?

Dh & I are meeting w/ the RE on Thursday to discuss our recurrent losses and our options at this point.

I was thinking of taking a list of questions along so everything will get covered and I don't forget anything.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I should ask?

I'm going to ask about taking another FSH test (check egg quality/ovarian reserve) and testing my thryoid again. Also, checking to see if there are hidden reasons for recurrent loss. Like thyroid probs, Celiac disease, etc. I'm not a totally healthy person, I have Fibromyalgia and it's gone untreated for a while now due to ttc. I can't take my meds while ttc'ing and I don't know if that would cause a prob or not.

Dh & I have already done karyotyping, his S/A is fine, HSG came back clear no blocked tubes, my prob is hormonal and the meds fix that.

Here's to hoping she has another idea.....

Dunno it might be a long shot...but the reasons for my m/c was due to thining of the uterine lining!?!?!? I guess it would not hurt to make sure there are no issues there.....Just a thought...I think you have it pretty covered!!!

BEST WISHES!!!!

I dunno. I'm not real familiar with how everything works. I know my questions would be large existential questions of why, but doctors can't always answer those. I think you have good questions to ask. I sure hope you get some answers and a good plan. I wish you so much luck and will be thinking of you tomorrow. Let us know how it goes.

Just a thought but I have a friend who has had 4 mc in a row. Once she got pg again this time, she started taking Lovenox shots daily (blood thinners). She is now 28 weeks pg. She had a clotting disorder and the lovenox solved that. Can you ask about something like that?

Yes, I'll be asking about Lovenox/Heparin injections. I have heard that even if you test negative for the disorder (which I did) it sometimes works anyway, they're not sure why....but I will ask.

Thanks!
