Update and questions

Hi everybody. Well, my RE wants me to do this cycle of clomid and IUI rather than skipping a month. I usually do the clomid on days 3-7 or 4-8 and have always gotten my surge on the 15th day and had the IUI on the 16th day. This month, I will be out of state on the 15th day and on a plane the 16th day. She is hoping that by starting the clomid a day late, we can delay my surge by a day and have the IUI on the 17th day. I wonder how my body will respond.

Have any of you found that your surge has varied based on when you start the drugs?

Also, injectibles are the next step if this does not work. Can any of you recommend a good site for info. about them or do any of you have any suggestions/insight/side-effect tales for me?

Laura, I did 2 cycles of IUI before moving to Injectibles and did much better. I was given adrug called Anatagon my 2nd Injectibles cycle to keep me from Oing early. I don't know if it works in conjunction with Clomid though. Good Luck!

Thanks Jen. I am just so nervous about injectibles. I have no idea how they work I just imagine having to stick myself and worry about cancelled cycles and multiples and stuff. I guess I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. In the meantime, any good links or info. on injectibles is still appreciated. Take care everyone.

Laura, I usually do days 5-9 and surge on day 16 with iui on the 17th. This month is my 3rd round and I'm not sure but I don't even think I'm going to o at all. My RE says a general rule of thumb is you will surge 7 days after last clomid pill. Hope that helps!

Hi! Just wanted to pop in and let you know I did 2 cycles of IUI, one w/ Clomid, one w/ Femara, before switching docs and going to injectibles. What a difference it made! Everything was better all the way around on the injectibles cycles.(Except for the needle pokes but they're not that bad) Technically, I've gotten pg 2 out of 3 cycles, and the one that didn't work I believe was b/c of a low sperm count, with poor quality sperm. I think if you do have to move on, it'll be a good step. My RE says it was just the boost I needed.

I don't have any links to websites but I used Menopur and Ovidrel to trigger so you could google that I suppose.
