Default Recipe suggestions - O/T

I'm planning a surprise 40th for DH & hoping to get some new ideas for the menu. It will be an evening outdoor party & was looking for dip/appetizer/salad/side recipes. Preferably something that I don't have to turn my oven or grill on for but I'll take any suggestions.

I'm getting bored w/ the same old things & I figured you girls would have some great ideas. If you wouldn't mind sharing one of your favorites, I'd be grateful!

Thanks!

i'm always the fan of jumbo shrimp-- you can buy frozen cooked shrimpt at teh grocery store and thaw-- throw on top of some ice, and add some cocktail sauce. its always a win for us.

i know its not a recipe, but its always a hit.

Meri

I know this is kind of like cheating, but does anyone in your area sell tastefully simple products? I use them all of the time, they are so good and easy.

Their keylime cheesball is to die for and their dips and breads are great too. I use them all the time for gatherings.

another great app is caprese salad (slices of mozzeralla, tomato, and basil with olive oil drizzled.) to make it an app, maybe throw it on top of bread wedges?

Hi Meri--Ilove to see you around!

I love the Knorr's Spinach Dip that is on the back of their Knorr's Vegetable Soup Mix at he grocery store.

I also like to mix cream cheese with picante sauce and spead on tortills and then cut them into little rolls.

Fruit dip with cut fruit. A block of cream cheese and a jar of marshmallow cream make a great dip.

I also llike the Spinach and Strawberry salad...I can look up the recipe if you need it, its at home.

There is also an Asian Chicken Salad that I love and eat all the time. Its lettuce, slivered almosnd, chuncks of chicken breast and this yummy homemade dressing with sugar (or splenda), oil, vinegar, Mrs. Dash, salt, and some soy sauce. I can look that up too if you would like.

Now I am hungry!!!!
