Default Oh My Goodness!!!

Well I had an ultrasound and bloodwork today to check out how my follicles are doing. I have produced alot of follicles. More on my right ovary. But larger ones on my left. The Drs office just called and said because I produced too many follicles again, we are going to see if my insurace will ok IVF! We cannot do IUI because of the possibilty of multiple births. This is the same thing that happend in June when we had to cancel the cycle because of a family crisis that same week. So here I am again!! A 2nd chance! She is guessing IVF will happen on Thurs. But have to get the ok from my insurance 1st, which they wont know until Mon. They did see some fluid back in my left tube today, but not as much as before. It wasn't there last Sat, so it has to be caused from the injections snce I just started them Mon. They are not concerned about it right now though. But if it interferes with anything, then I we discuss surgery to correct it. But for right now we will try the IVF, and hopefully I get pregnant w/no problems!! I am praying everything goes smoothly this time! Ill keep you all posted!!!

Woo-hoo! Go insurance. So glad to hear good news. I wish you luck and can't wait to hear how it goes.
Haven't been around much, but I have done some lurking. It was good to hear the fluid went away. Let's hope it stays of no concern.

I had another u/s & bw today. And things are still looking good. The on call nurse thinks the egg retrievel will happen this Weds. I will know about insurance tomorrow, and I have to pre register at the hospital that will be doing the IVF. And I have to call the anesticiologist and then the pharamacy that sends me the fertility meds. I have to do the HCG shot tomorrow. Has anyone done a HCG shot before? Am I able to do it myself? My husband is very squimish and there is no way he can do it for me. It says I have to inject it in my butt muscle...yikes. And in this booklet they gave me it says that after the embryo transfer I have to do progesterone shots in the butt muscle each night, until after the 2ww....how does that go? Anyone have any side effects for either injection? Im just curious....
Well tomorrow I have more bw & an u/s. After the the egg retrievel it says the embryo transfer happens 3-5 days later. So I could be pregnant next week!!! Goodness!! Its too bad I can't know instantly if it worked or not....

Hi,

I so hope this is it for you,

I have done the trigger shot a few times it is very easy and painless,
I done it in my belly, pinched a bit of skin and got it in there, a lil sting nothing to make me wince.

The first time i done the trigger i done it in my thigh and that was more painful.

I had no side effects other than the expected,
I most defintley felt the ovulation,

Many many goodluck wishes.

Let us know how you get on, i start my ivf meds in 15 days so it would interesting to hear how you go.

hugs

Its all scheduled!! Im having the egg retrieval at 9:30am this Weds. And then the egg transfer on Sat!! I have to do that HCG shot in my butt muscle tonight. I am a little scared to do it, but I will. The needle is a lot longer then the needle I have been using for the Gonal shots. And the idea of having to stick it in my butt muscle....ouch.

I am happy, excited and scared all at the same time!!
