Hi everyone, so I had a u/s on Friday with my gyno for a cyst, and baby (gestational sac) measured 4 wks, 5 days, it should have been 5 weeks 1 day, whatever, they were not concerned. So, I went to my re today for an u/s and gestational sac measure 6 weeks 4 days...................how is that even possible?????? My lmp was Jan 31, and I had a triggered iui on Feb 12th. What the heck is going on????? Based on my lmp, I should be 5 weeks 4 days @ most. So, I called my gyno, and she ordered a repeat one for this Friday. Is u/s that subjective?????

My re insists, that they backtrack 2 days from my lmp, and that would put me at about 6 weeks, so the u/s is 4 days ahead. I am so confused!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And now I will be on pins and needles until Friday! Any thoughts?????

I don't really know the answer but I just wanted to remind you to relax and try to stay calm until Friday. i know it is easier said than done but it was probably just a measuring error or something.

My desire to have a baby is greater than my fear of having another miscarriage.

I wanted to chim in and just say...You really have to take U/S's with a grain of salt....Measurements are soooo tiny that there is soooooo much room for a slight mis measurements and mis calculations....It is not that far off that I would be too concerned...I was always told as long as you measure ahead that was okay (not to far ahead) measuring behind was what concerns them. I was told this constantly through out my pregnancy with DH....I had an U/S almost every other week with him due to some complications ....soooo I do not think there is anything to worry about.....and as far as being ahead...you might just have a MIGHTY BEAN in there!!!! LOLOL Hang in there!!!!!

Measurements can be off and the baby can measure + or - a week and that is within range.
