any answers would be so helpful - i am thinking of calling DH to come home from work so we can bd - just wanted your opinions first...

here is my appointment update.... had an ultrasound to see how the clomid was working...

i took clomid - 100mg - days 5-9

i am so clueless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i got to write down all the measurements for the tech.

my right ovary (tubeless side) measured 13.5 mm with 4 eggs under 10 (whatever that means)

my left ovary (which is my good side with the tube) measured at 26 mm with 0 eggs under 10 (again - i am clueless)

they don't measure any eggs over 10 - just those under 10... which didn't help me out much

what does this mean i asked???? HAHAHAHAHA!!!! the tech said "well - in a woman who isn't taking clomid.. i would say that with an ovary measuring 26mm - you already ovulated" - but where you are taking clomid... it might just be that big because of the medicine.

hmmmm - wouldn't my other ovary be that big if it were from the clomid????

AHHHHH!!! so... i am happy (i think???) because my left ovary is big - meaning i might have ovulated.. or will soon from that side?

haven't gotten a positive opk yet... i need to take another one today

OOOHHHH - then she tells me to go to the fibroid line... and write down 12 x 7. i FREAKED OUT!!!! i said "are you serious?" i JUST had surgery 3 weeks ago - to remove anything in my uterus and my tube - so after a what seemed like a long wait - she tells me "well, if you had your right tube removed... what i am seeing is on that side... and it is right where the tube "would have" met the uterus... so that is probably what i am seeing.

so - not exactly sure how my appt went... i think good????? considering we bd'd Monday and Wednesday and will today as well????

My RE considered follies mature over 18 I don't understand why they won't measure above 10 and are you doing a trigger shot or are they doing bw or anything to know when you O. Plus if they did an us they can see if the follicle is collapsing to lknow if you O. It doesn't seem like you are getting any clear instruction or info?!

it is just so confusing to me... they did do blood work today - which is day 10 for me... they also did blood work on day 3... so i should have those results either later today or tomorrow... i am not doing trigger shots.. yet anyway.

i just don't understand any of this!!!!! and just wish a doctor would have come in to explain it to me!

You probably need to call them and have it explained again. Their job is to answer your questions, that's what you pay them for!

I am definately not new to this and I didn't quite understand a word she said..so....if anyone else can chime in maybe they would know, but I sure don't. Not measuring follies over 10 confuses me as well.

thank you so much - as i am sitting here - i am starting to worry that there might be something wrong with that left ovary - measuring 26mm - whereas my right is only 13.5... yikes!

yeah I didn't quite understand what those numbers were either. My re liked to see follicles to be over 18-20 mm. They wouldn't count the ones under 12mm. but they would measure every follicle over size 12.

on day 10, you're early in your cycle--and follicles grow at the average of 1-2 mm a day.

I'd call back and ask for more explanation-- I've done that--and I ask a lot of questions.

so can i assume (at this point before i talk to them)... that a "larger" ovary isn't necessarily a good sign???

oh i don't know. I don't know if I ever knew the size of my ovaries...I only knew follicle size. I only asked questions about my lining, and my follicles.
