Hi Ladies

I hope all is well with everyone ?

Well Yesterday I had my first Appt with my new specalist . She is wonderful.
So we only spent about 20 minutes with her cause My family Dr. did all the necessary Tests. which was nice. So she explained to us all the procedures they have and what we can do.

In July ( and I'm so excited) we get to start our Frist IUI. Just my luck yesterday I started AF. Silly af 3 days early LOL. WE could of started this month but she had to get us tested for HIV and Hepitis before the can handle the Sperm. So In July we will be doing IUI with Sperm wash. A natural cycle. to see If I'm ovulating ok . So I wont be taking any meds that cycle maybe on the HCG. So will have to see when I go for blood work and the ultrasound. I'm so happy but also scared cause this procedure is not cheep here in Toronto.

When I saw the prices I almost fainited. There is a one time admin fee of $250 canadian and then The Sperm wash is $350 each time. So If they have to Do it to time in a cycle that is going to cost me $ 700 and man I don't know where were going to get this money from. I guess I have to start being cheep and Stop Shopping and Cut down on a lot of things. Wow this is going to be fun. The only part I'm not looking forward to Is the needles and the blood work. I have very small veins so they can never find them in my Arm so they always have to take blood from my hands and they brusie for days and hurt.

so that's my update from yesterday..

I know IUI's can be costly! Do you have any insurance coverage? Sometime insurance can help with stuff like office visits, meds, and U/S. Hopefully you will have first timers luck and will only have to do one. My first set of IUI's to conceive DD#1 the insurance covered all 3 of my IUI's. This time around we have no coverage at all. We are looking at $300 for an IUI/with sperm wahing. and $600 for one with U/S. My RE says we can just use OPK's this month, next I will have to do a U/S to check the lining. We conceived DD with no U/S/monitoring. We will be pinching the pennies right along with you guys!! We are also doing a cycle in July, I am waiting for AF to arrive to start clomid. I will be right behind you.

I am right there with you. I just started my Clomid today and this is the third day of AF. Looks like we'll be doing this together.
