Hello ladies-my name is Niki and I'm a lurker! LOL I have asked a few questions on this board but haven't become really involved. So I thought now would be a good time because I am going to have my first, and hopefully last IUI this Friday.
So here is a little about me: I'm 29, I'll be 30 next month (yikes) and my DH is 29 too. We have one fabulous DD named Madi and she is 3. We have been TTC #2 since March 2005 and have had no luck yet. We tried on our own for a while then I went to the OB and she had be take clomid-did that 3 cycles and nothing but problems (side effects). My DH had a SA that came back normal and I have had to dye tests done in the last 2 years and both were clear.
So we finally decided (after much support from our dear friend Stacy-thanks girl!
to go see the RE. He was very optomistic for us to conceive with in 2 months. The first cycle my DH wasn't comfortable with IUI so we did Femara, Metformin, trigger shot, estrogen patch, progesterone cream and TIC with a BFN. Now this cycle we feel we should be more assertive and try the IUI. So I just had my u/s yesterday and nurse said I have a good 20mm egg on my right side and just some little tiddliwinks on my left. So I had to do the trigger last night and we both go back in Friday morning for sample and IUI! I'm very excited, which scares me because I don't want to get a BFN.
Oh and our first child was a pure blessing. I went of BCP after being on it for 10 years and the next cycle she was concv'd. I'm hoping to get to know you ladies and have some SK's friends!! Lord knows we all need support!!
