Re: IVF Chatty Thread: Jumping Into June!
Chrissy...I would have never guess either that you were a "closet POAS-aholic"! You've done so well with hiding it like Erica said!
Erica...you're not lazy...just baking two little people. I'm wore out a lot just baking one! I don't think I'm offically nesting yet but I do want everything in the house to be in order, including my flower beds outside. I yelled at DH for putting new mulch over old mulch last night (in my pre-pg days, I'd scrape off the old mulch before adding the new...and yes, I had OCD before being pg! ). I've still go lots of organizing and adding to Owen's room before it's done but I'm waiting for my shower on Sunday and then will organize afterwards.
Oh, question for you ladies...(dumb one, too... !)...do you need to wash all of the babies clothes before they're born? I hate to do that but I've heard you should. Mainly, I'm afraid that he'll not fit in some newborn clothes and I'll need to return them and can't do so after they are washed.

Re: IVF Chatty Thread: Jumping Into June!
Stacy - Bring on the pics!
Kelli - Yeah, the washing.... I washed everything. The bedding, the clothes, the towels, blankets, all of it. You'd be surprised at how many people don't do that. I think it's all up to you. It's personal and like you said, what if they don't fit and then you're stuck with them. If you're going to be a washer, just do a few things, not everything. Peyton was born in Feb, so warmer clothing was needed. Being summer, it's just about optional! You'll see. They had Peyton in a onesie and a recieveing blanket in the hospital in the dead of winter. Plus, when you get further along, your ob may even lay his/her hands on your belly and give you a guess at the weight. Mine did and she told me I had an 8 pounder in there. Peyton was 8lbs 5oz. I had her in 0-3mo clothes from the get go due to that guess. She still swam in them, but the lesser sizes would have only fit her for what, a week or two? You may even get an u/s later in the 30wks for growth. I had one for Peyton and I'm getting my first one, this time, on the 12th.
I wanted to be productive today. Hasn't happend yet. Sigh. I went through the sale paper for the grocery store and I have to make my Walmart list for all the other stuff. i bet I'll get the shopping done and then take my nap with Peyton after I put the cold stuff away and leave the pantry stuff out - that's a common occurance! i'll probably get the dusting done today and will do the vaccuuming done tomorrow. Going to my mom's for dinner on Sunday. Maybe I'll start tackeling the closets on Monday. HA! See, there's always an excuse. I want/need to get it done, but I can find reasons why I won't do it. Sad! Oh, and Kelli, I havent' washed anything yet. I had it all done at week 35 for Peyton. It all sat there, untouched, in her closet for almost another 4wks. I've secured my borrowd crib! YAY!!!! Once I have that in the room, it'll all hit me that they're coming. It's hitting, yet, but it doesn't seem real/possible just yet. I'm crazy, I know!

Re: IVF Chatty Thread: Jumping Into June!
Erica & Kelli...so my secret is out...I can't help myself...I POAS and if it's not a bfp, then I acted like I didn't even POAS b/c it's too soon anyway...I have a whole system of denial going on in my head It works for now! Oh, I'll so tell you all when it happens..I don't go for beta until June 10th...ugh...14dpt. My RE is strict about that. Oh well...that is what POAS is for
Erica...good luck with all your shopping today...I do the same thing with my groceries and I'm not pg...I leave all pantry stuff in the car for DH to carry in...I hate carrying groceries in...partly b/c my RA and partly b/c I can't stand it!! LOL...I'm doing wash today! A lot of it...haven't done a thing since my ER 8 days ago.
I'm also going to visit a friend about 15 min away from here later today...take my mind off...and then maybe to my aunt's for poker tonight.
Yeah...I agree...where is everyone? Hope you all have a good weekend.

Re: IVF Chatty Thread: Jumping Into June!
chrissy-- when i POAS and its negative I do the same thing. First, before I poas, I actually say outloud, 'this will probably be neg since its too early.' and then when its negative i say 'yep, too early.' but i haven't been POAS because then i get so wrapped up into it.
i saw a commercial this week for clearblue that had me laughing. they actually say "this is the most advanced technology you will ever pee on." i was laughing so hard, my dh didn't think it was that funny...
anyhow--this is the first month in a loooooong time that i could honestly say i have NO idea what day in the cycle it is! i had to look it up and count. i'm giving myself this month off. and then June and July I will use the OV watch, and then August we'll jump into injectable IUIs.

Re: IVF Chatty Thread: Jumping Into June!
I'm here just busy with my family today and I have been nesting although I have lost the urge mid-nesting.
Kelli Just wash one or 2 things and see how it goes. Talon was so small I had to get some preemie clothes for him, he was such a peanut!!
Erica, The lettter things sounds really cute!! I stenciled Talon's name on this really pretty paper and framed it I want to do the same for Kelan. I need groceries too but my car is not running well. Every time Scot fixes something, something else goes wrong! It's hot though so that means I don't have to go outside!!
Chrissy, the Nurses at my RE's always yelled at me for POAS too early, Scot used to have to hide them from me. I am delivering at St. Mary's. I like it there, they rooms are Private. My SIL delivered at Doylestown and had to share, I would not like that at all!

Re: IVF Chatty Thread: Jumping Into June!
Jen- yeah, I deleivered at a private hospital all large delux private rooms- Sharing should be ban. Sorry, but someone who just delivered, has thier crying baby, family in and out and everytime you get up you bleed like crazy - yeah you need privacy a MUST have in my book!
Wannabeamamma- don't think I have met you yet. your name is like a friend and cohost of mine on the IVF board gottat keep you both straight
Erica- WOW, it will be soon! 3 children I am so happy for you! How many do you think you guys want in the future?
Stacey- Come on! I know you are POAS now arent you
Anthony still feeling blah he leaves Sunday morning for a month Got our insurance today so excited no IF coverage though..well $3000 for diagnoisis and treatment excluding IUI and IVF. Whatever. Go on the 14th. Good news is the insurance covers 100% on the maternity and you also get a on call RN 24 hours a day for high risk which I am so I can call at 2 in th morning if I am stressing gotta get there first. Just not sure if I can deal with the psycho inlaws if I have another one
