IUI too early?
I am SOOO excited to be moving on to IUI. Fertility drugs have so far failed me. It turns out that my body doesn't release the eggs. This month I am going to do the HCG shot with an IUI. My husband's sperm tested fine, but I wanted to up our chances of conceiving.
Anyway, I'm doing the Femera. On day 12 I'm scheduled for an ultrasound. The HCG shot is after the ultrasound (when?). The IUI would tenitively be on day 14..... but that seems to early. I always (natural, on Metformin, and on Clomid) feel like I'm about to ovulate on day 18, followed by an increased temp on day 19. But within a few days I know I didn't release the egg, that it became a cyst. I know that because my breasts swell, I get nauseous, one of my ovaries hurts a lot, and I get lightheaded. Basically, the spike in estrogen makes me feel pregnant... but I know I'm not because of the ovarian pain. ANWAY... I'm thinking they should aim for an IUI on day 18 since this is when my body feels ready-my cervix high, my mucus is EWCM, OPK positive. But I have never been on Femera, so maybe my body will respond differently and get ready to ovulate sooner. I heard that if they do the IUI too early, your cervix will be closed and it will hurt and also not work.
1. What do you think about my timing issue?
2. Does anyone else "feel pregnant" each month because of cysts?
3. Did anyone' doctor postpone their IUI because of the follicle size or the cervix being too closed?
