Default It's over

She's here, right on time..AF. I am done, we have used up all our chances and have nothing. Called the clinic to tell them and ask why they never did any follicle checking or progesterone levels. That's just how they do it. I don't even know for certain it I o'd the first to tries. They will call me tomorow with more options but we spent the $3000 we had saved and put $3000 on credit already. I just can't beleive that it's over.

Chrissy,
I'm sorry to hear that this wasn't your cycle... I actually was successful in my off cycles--i'd taken 3 months off of meds--and for 2 months--I used the OV Watch. And thats what worked for us. It gives you more advance notice of when ovulation will be--and that seemed to be key for us.

we'd tried on our own for a year using OPKs, and the clearblue fertility monitor. Then went on clomid for 5 months without IUI. Then 3 clomid IUIs. then it was after that, just using this silly watch that worked for us.

hang in there...we're here for you.

I am so sorry.

My RE doesn't do follicle checking or progesterone levels. He does three cycle with clomid and then if that don't work the next step is injectables with follicle checking W/IUI's. Did you do OPK and the trigger shot?

Our RE only does 3 iui cycles with clomid and then moves on to ivf which we can't afford. I'm hoping they call with some other options. I can't beleive this is the end of the line.

Clomid to IVF? That does not sound right. Is there another RE you can go to?

I conceived my 1st DS on clomid. When TTC #2, I was on clomid - they never did follie or progesterone checks...not even IUI's. My body became to immune to the clomid. So I went to a RE and they put me on injectibles and wham - BFP with #2. You body might just need something new. But injectibles are very, very expensive, but they are MUCH cheaper than IVF!

Good luck!

I'm sorry that things didn't work out for you. I hope you can find other alternatives from your RE or a new RE who can come up with another plan for you.

Thanks for the support ladies. This is the only RE in our area so a switch isn't possible. I'm not sure what we will do yet, I guess see what other options they have for us and if DH even wants to move forward. I'm hoping some time will take the sting away.

I am very sorry to hear about your situation. It sounds like the clinic really did not do enough for you. My RE schedules an ultrasound right before I ovulate in order to determine the size of the follicles. Do you have insurance? Some insurance companies will pay for fertility treatment.

I wish you all the best.
