I just had my 1st IUI!!

Hi everyone! I have been a lurker for a while...and now I am making my first post. My DH and I have been trying for a baby for almost 2 years now. I has been an emotional rollercoaster to say the least! However we have finally found a Dr. that listens! He is amazing! I was working an OBGYN but it wasn't a good experience...so we switched to an RE. He is MUCH better. We talked and he decided that an IUI would be the best bet for us to get preg. We have done all of the testing and everything and they can't find anything wrong. The only thing is my hubby has a lower sperm count. But it's not even that low... it's around 25-27million. So that is still in the normal range. They are thinking that I might have some hostile mucas too...so if I don't get preggo this cycle that that is the next test me RE will do.

Anyway...I finally had my first IUI done on Dec. 1st. (It was this past Sat.) I have been taking Metformin (I take that for 4 weeks) and also Femara (days 3-9.) I got a positive opk on the Nov. 30. So then I went in the next day to get the IUI done. It was a little painful...but not to bad. I had some cramping and then some bleeding/brown spotting for a day or so afterwards. My boobs have been a litte sore...but that is just prob. from the medication right?? I wouldn't be feeling any symptoms this early would I? Anyway, I want this to work so bad I can't even begin to tell you! Any advice anyone has for me? A new timer? lol! I hope everyone get's their BFP this cycle! What a great Christmas presant!

Oh, I have also had a tiny bit of light cramping too...is that a good sign or what do you think? Thanks again! Sorry this is soooo long! Normally my posts won't be so long! Promise!

Good luck! Hopefully first time luck will strike you. If not, don't give up hope. It will happen eventually. We TTC for 8 years. 6 rounds of iui a couple years back then 3rd time was the charm this time around.

Thanks everyone! I can't bleieve how supportive everyone is here! It's so nice to know that there are people that are going through the same thing you are and you aren't alone! It is now only 3dpiui so I still have a long way to go. I haven't felt any symptoms or anything though...so I don't know if it worked or not...I guess we will have to wait any see! WHen did all of your start feeling symptoms of when you were preg??
