Did an HPT at 12dpIUI

Hi Ladies,

I need your advice and thoughts. I did an HPTtoday 12dpIUI and it is

. Do you think there is a possibility that I tested too early or is it more likely that this IUI didn't work? Any thoughts are appreciated. I hate these 2ww

Lots of woman on these very boards do not get bfps until 14 dpiui...you hang in there and think positive..it is very possible it's too early. sending you lots of baby dust

my dr advises not to test until 14 dpo--because it could be a false negative--which causes unnecessary upset.

give it a few more days!

Sorry hun, every test I ever did that was BFN prior to 35 cycle days and then after were all negative for pregnancy.

IUI's has statistics for your age and clinic and or RE.
MY stat 7% live birth for 42 yrs.
The average amount of IUI's performed before a live birth is 4.8 cycles per couple any age.

Some go 11 or more cycles. One gal got BFP at the 11th IUI.

I hate to be negative, but this has been my experience.
One should be able to get a BFP reading at 9-11 DPO

Thanks for your replies Ladies. I'll test again in 2 days but I think its a bust for this cycle

. If I'm not pregnant then I will be having another lap surgery to check again for endo and make sure tubes are clear before moving onto more cycles. I had lap surgery 2 years ago and had mild endo removed. One step at a time...

miss kacey,
you're still early in your cycle. the other post mentions that you should have a bfp at 9-11 dpo, but that's not the case. If you had a booster shot, you could have a false bfp up through 10dpo because the shot has not left your system. And many people don't get a bfp until a week after their period is late, even when they are pregnant.

Stay positive--and keep your spirits up--i hope this is your cycle!

I agree! As hard as it is, wait a few days and test again!
