Default Cramps after IUI

Anybody else having this problem?

It's very sporadic / off and on but at times over the weekend they were really really bad (i get pretty bad ones for AF and these were about the same intensity)

Dr's office said to call them if i had anything but "mild discomfort" but figured i'd check to see if this is fairly common

Thanks!

I had cramps for days but my RE swears they were O related. Many of the post IUI reports I've read on these boards report at least some cramping. Just call your doc if you're really concerned though, there's not shame in asking the professional that you are paying a mint to.

I always cramp up fpr a few day too. Partly I think it's o related but since you are using ovulation enhancers because of anovulation the cramps would be just a bit stronger than a regular o pain would be. Have you ever had normal o pain? I too have anovulation and never felt an o pain until clomid and thought I was having something rupture!

It's probably nothing but if you're not sure, call your RE. You may just be experiencing your very first real ovulation (just extremely stimulated)!

I thought maybe O pain but thought that would have passed (its now 6DP the trigger) I never had O pain but then again it's been 9 years since a "normal" (non BCP) cycle

I find that on a med cycle my o pains can last up to 5 days on and off. This depends on the follies that are rupturing. Also can depend on your body. With my very first iui they had to clamp open my cervix to get the catheder in. I cramped like crazy for the whole 2ww! I also got pg that cycle so it could have been implantation too but that usually doesn't start to 6-10 days after o. Call your RE and ask, You didn't by chance have a cyst in there did you?

My first clomid round i ended up with cysts / abnormal bleeding on CD20 and sat out a month.

This round the U/S showed "one really great" follicle (RE's words) and some smaller ones, thick lining........ I guess however he saw them, it meant no O'ing yet so then the next day was the trigger.

I'm taking it cysts are follicles that don't go away like they should?
Hoping the trigger O'd the right day and didn't delay it but hard to tell since it messes up the OPKs

I cramp after the iui until AF or BFP shows. I was told it was normal by my RE.
