Another new iui'er
Hi everyone,
My name is Laura, and I'll be doing an IUI probably the day after Christmas. We've been trying to get pregnant since August 06, and my dh's sperm count was very low when he had it tested last month. On Monday I had an appointment with the reproductive clinic in Seattle, and the Dr. immediately said, let's do an IUI. I went into the appointment expecting to hear "just keep trying, and here's some tips". So when she said IUI, I wasn't prepared. I've lurked on this board for a long time, after following some posters from TTC 30, and feel like I know a lot about IUI, but never thought I would be doing one. She doesn't have me on any medication, and I'll go in on the 23rd for an ultrasound, and probably back on the 26th for the actual procedure. I'm glad I have an actual date, where I might actually get pregnant, but I'm afraid of how hard I'll take it if it doesn't work. Every month it gets harder, as I'm sure all of you know.
