This is so embarrassing...
I haven't made an appointment with the doctor yet because I've got so many other things going on. But I'm not finding anything in my internet search. Have any of you heard of this?
I am 48 and never gave birth. I had endometriosis and an SOB husband (now ex) and it just never happened. I had a hysterectomy three years ago due to pain and terrible periods. I had enough of it. And I have been ecstatic with my decision.
For ERT, I chose Femring because I was very allergic to the patches. Some of the pills even made me break out. But Femring is great - you insert it and leave it in for 2.5-3 months and don't even know it's there. And it works great.
WARNING: This next part gets a little explicit and may be more information than you want to know from some stranger. But we're all women here and many of you have given birth and won't think anything of it, I hope. I'm embarrassed though.
A few weeks ago, when I used the bathroom, I felt like the ring was going to come out. I never experienced this. I used to get this feeling when I used tampons or Insteads, but never with the ring. After a couple of days, I swore it was going to come out, so I went to give it a shove (clean hand) and I couldn't believe what I was feeling.
I got a mirror and it wasn't just my ring...my cervix was also sticking out a little, from my vagina. (When I had my hyst, I kept my cervix...it had never given me trouble and it made the hyst much easier.)
I removed the ring and have been watching this thing over the past few weeks. I don't notice it when I sit or stand, and I've checked it during these times, to compare. If I am just standing at any given time and I go check, it doesn't seem as big. It's as if the act of bearing down (even just to pee) blows this thing up. I know this is not funny but it acts like a penis...it's smaller, then it grows to at least 3" long (judged by my finger...sorry) and about the same thickness as an erect penis. And whenever I'm done using the bathroom, it is poking through the entrance to my vagina. Then it goes back in about halfway. It does seem to get worse throughout the day.
I have never seen or heard anything like this. And I feel stupid going to the doctor. What if I have a morning appointment and the thing is shrunken up where it's supposed to be? They are going to think I am looney-tunes. They are going to say I have penis envy and send me to a shrink.
And you are all probably thinking the same thing. But if you know about anything like this, would you please respond to my post?
Oh, and when I use the bathroom, it bleeds. And it might spot just a little otherwise. But from my hyst 3 years ago until 2-3 weeks ago, I NEVER spotted or bled. I have been having some cramping, some in the middle of my belly but most of it on the right and left, where my ovaries used to be (which makes no sense). The right/left pain is sharp, and feels like when I had my ovarian cyst.
Thanks.
