Default Period; stops and starts

35 year old female. Not sexually active.

Period starts for 1-2 days, stops for about 8-12 hours, starts again for another 1-2 days.

Usually periods are 5-6 days long, with no stops and starts.

No family history of reproductive issues. No other relevant medical history. No changes to diet or weight. No medication changes.

Not on birth control. Have been regular since getting period at age 12.

Stopping and starting has been happening once every few months since I turned 35 years old about 8 months ago.

Sign of menopause? Is this normal otherwise?

Thanks.
