Weekend Chatter
This is a discussion on Weekend Chatter within the Post-baby Shape up! forums, part of the Health & Wellness category; How are you doing this weekend?...
I am up and I have had my coffee and special k. I am going to get started on my water soon and have some grapes for snack. I got the ok from my Dr to exercise so I will likely start fitting a work out back into my weekend, during the week it may or may not be possible due to work and being so tired because of the pregnancy but we will see what happens.
I hope you all have a great weekend and I will check back with you all later.

I had hoped to sleep in today. My youngest woke up and DH got her and she's in a BAD mood this morning. Lots of screaming coming from her she woke me up...no sleeping in today.
Well yesterday we ran around and did all our chores and I ate pizza for lunch and nachos for dinner! Oh and doughnuts for snack! This morning I have had 2 doughnuts and my coffee. Okay so as you can see I am not doing so well with the eating but with that said I am down another 1/2lb! I swear before getting pregnant I couldn't lose it and now I can't gain it! I am just worried my Dr is going to get mad at me because I am 3 months and I have lost not gained and she wants me to gain 20-25lbs.
Hope you are all having a great weekend and I will check back with you later.

Is your tummy growing? If so, then baby is growing and getting what he/she needs and it's just the extra weight on you that is leaving. You body is just burning it because growing a baby burns lots of calories. It's not like you've lost 20 pounds in 3 months. I think it will be fine. And it should start slowing down in the next week or two when baby really starts doing some major growing. So far it's been mainly developing organs and body parts, but the size has remained small. I know when this one of mine started gaining about an inch a week, that's when I started noticing more of the weight gain (more than a pound a month). I had to remind myself that baby was growing and I wasn't burning as many calories due to not getting to exercise - so I wouldn't panic over a 2 or 3 pound gain.
Today is my day 1 on exercise getting back to normal. I started thinking about it yesterday and am motivated to get back on board full time. My goal is to do the 2 mile express walk workout 5 days a week, alternating the two "off days" from week to week, so my body doesn't get to used to me being off on the same days. Wish me luck!
Well yesterday I did a lot of running around. I also bought my "goal outfit". Nothing fancy or special, just a short skirt (I usually wear them to my ankle) and a black shirt. But it's an outfit I can look at and say "I so want to wear that". I've worked out 6 days this week. I think I might join this thing they have at the Y (where I work out) called "Fit Chicks", it sounds a little like the Biggest Loser type of thing.
The "Fit Chicks" group sounds like it would be fun for you. Congrats on getting a goal outfit! That's great. It's always wonderful to be able to see what you are working toward. WTG on 6 workouts this past week. Keep up the hard work.
Congrats ont eh goal outfit, I am sure you will be in it in no time!
Shannon thanks for the info and thoughts about weight gain during pregnancy. I know my belly is different so all must be well but still really not feeling pregnant, other than super tired!
I had a bagel with chicken, cheese and lettuce for brunch and a hamburger and a piece of cake for late lunch as we were celebrating a friends birthday. We are having roast beef and mashed potatoes with some sort of veggie for dinner as well. I have totally failed on my thoughts of getting my exercise started again but I am having a tough time with fatigue. I am almost 13 weeks now so I hope that gets a bit better shortly and makes it easier.
Check back with you all later.
