What do you know about donated embryo cycles?

I am considering donor eggs or donor embryos and would love to get as much info as possible!

Hi Tanya,

DH and I did a donor egg cycle, and while the fresh cycle didn't work for us, the DEFET very much did! We're also in the process of donating our 2 remaining frozen embryos to a couple. Donor embryo is a lot less common than donor egg in clinics. My home clinic is just now establishing a donor embryo program. Our recipient couple went through the National Embryo Donation Center in Tennessee, which is one of the few embryo donation programs that we've been able to find. However, she had a VERY BAD experience with the RE. Our plan now is for her to cycle at either my clinic or one closer to her home.

Hello! I don't want to hijack the post I just want to tell you Nicky7 that you are a wonderful person for choosing to donate your remaining embryos! I truly hope that the cycle works for the couple! It just makes everything come full circle when a person has so much trouble conceiving, goes to donor eggs, then to go on and donate the embryos to another couple having trouble, kudos to you!!

And Tanya, we are doing PGD first but if that cycle is a bust, we'll be going the donor egg route as well. We hit on the major points for DE during our consult last week, but if we do donor we have to go back for all the ins and outs of the process. Please keep us posted on what you find out!

Do you know of clinics that do donor embryo transfers with good success rates? I live in Indiana, but would be willing to travel.

Hi, I used to chat here often since I myself went through 7 rounds of IVF. I actually run an egg donation agency. It is called Tiny Treasures. We work with clinics all over the US. we have almost 300 donors on our database. You can see their pictures, baby pictures and recieve a 15 page profile on the donor. Let me know if I can be of any help. I know what it is like to want to have a baby so badly! I am usually over at born in October 07 as I do not stop by here all that often.
